    Sanity Check

I have been reloading Handgun ammo on and off since the 80. I am about to reload some 20 Ga. ShotShells for the 1st time. The question I have is with the load data in the the various manuals I have. Some loads specify a shot size, some don't. On the load data that does not specify a shot size, can I use any shot as long as it weighs 7/8 or 1 oz depending on the load data?

    Thanks

I've only been loading shot for a year but yes, just be careful when going to buck and slug. I was told to stick with published loads so primers and wads are not interchangeable. Most aren't...

Yes, you can use 7.5, 8, 8.5, or 9 lead shot size.

YES, all that matters is the weight of the shot charge, not shot size.

And, I believe, the volume it takes up.
