Congrats there's going to be a million formulas for accurate loads lots of bullets and powders. The trick is consistency keep your full length die so you don't have to mess with the neck sizer for five loads and then change it back to full length for one load so the case doesn't get stuck in your gun anymore. The farther out you want to reach the heavier you want the bullet for example to shoot 1,000 yd you'd want a 175 grain or more. Start with good brass trim and anneal. Weigh each powder load. But the recipes are going to be different for every gun has everything is built with different tolerances for breech face, throat, rifling.... Then there's the scope and base to think about. -
1990's era Remington VS 1:12 with 168's and IMR4895 shot pretty well. I re-barrelled it a long time ago but I'm still using my original RCBS FL dies. For 800+ I use 175's and IMR4064.Last edited by smoothy8500; 07-25-2022, 5:42 PM.Comment

1980's era Rem700V. Loves the classic load of Federal match brass, Sierra 165gr BTHP Game Kings or 168gr SMKs over 4064 powder.
There's newer powders available that work great, but that is a classic 308 load.
Works great on paper(SMK and Game King) and Wyoming Antelope(Game King).Comment
