    Miwall

1.does anyone have any experience with their ammo?

    2. can you buy direct from the warehouse or do you have to get it at the gunshows?

Ammo is fine. Gunshows only except for the father's day sale coming up. Then they roll up the gate for us.

I've put a lot of their ammo through my guns. No issues at all.

I have had no issues whatsoever with their .45 reloads. Many of my friends have shot many of their other caliber reloads too, no problems. They are good to go!

Besides gunshows the only other way I know of buying Miwall ammo is through outdoormarksman.com They are the exclusive online vendor for Miwall.

The bad news about Miwall is that there ammo prices have caught up with the gun hysteria panties binded up in your a-hole buy buy buy and horde horde horde ammo prices.

Miwalls biggest selling point was their ammo prices were 3 months behind the curve thus lower than everyone's elses.

After I went to the last gunshow I have to say their prices are just as high high high.

As I understand it the only ammo that is miwall is the reloads, maybe as I have also heard of other stories. All the other ammo they sell is stuff they bought elsewhere just like any other ammo reseller.

I was a miwall fan due to their pricing and availability, as they carry lots of different ammo.

                +1...
i used to get all giddy about getting up early and going to a show to get some miwall ammo, but now i might as well buy it on GB. they still have a good amount of variety at most shows but their prices definitely have caught up to the demand...

I've got a ammo box full of it right now. I've never had an issue...

I've put a several thousand rounds from Miwall through my .45 and 9mm. Mix of their "factory new" and "factory reloaded". Has shot just fine, and the ammo can a) gets me an ammo can, and b) saves me having to open/pick boxes for faster mag loading, but makes it harder to stripe the brass to do range pickup.

Only ammo from Miwall I've had grief with was Winchester White Box .223 a decade back, when Winchester briefly shipped light rounds from some secondary line or subcontractor, and the Natec plastic cased .223 that I haven't torn the last necks from.. Obviously, neither of those were Miwall faults, and they actually offered to buy back the case of WWB when I mentioned it.

I've had one problem out of a few thousand rounds. The brass was disfigured on one side of one round with parts of the bullet showing that shouldn't have been. I inspect all rounds that I use for problems and I will still buy from them. Price was good. I haven't had to buy ammo in a while.

I've run 4k rounds of their 9mm reloads through my Glock 19 without ANY issues.

Should I bother going to the Costa Mesa show this weekend to pick it up, or would I be better just ordering online?

I've always heard good things about them, never had a chance to buy from 'em though.

As others have mentioned, I think their reloaded pistol ammo now costs the same was new Wal Mart WWB or Blazer. So, given the choice and availability, I'd suggest you buy the Wal Mart stuff.
For their reloaded .223, I've never had an issue with it although if you do a search on Miwall on this forum, someone blew up their rifle using Miwall. And, as with all reloads, I'd also recommend case-gauging all of it to save you some grief.
