    Dillon xl650 Feed Ramp Jam

I've had an xl650 for several years but never got around to setting it up and using it. A friend recently started reloading which got me Interested again.
I was processing 223 brass and at least 1 out of 10 wouldn't align in the shell feed ramp, station 1, and cause a jam. I watched a Dillon video that said put grease on the bottom of the ramp. I did that and it helped. Now 1 out of 20/30 jam. Is there a solution for this, or is this an inherent problem with the 650?

I think there is an alignment process in the manual under trouble shooting. I would also confirm that you are pushing the handle all the way away from you because that seats the case in the shell holder.

Yes. I push the handle all the way on both up and down strokes. I learned on my SDB by not seating some primers all the way.

It looks like the feed ramp and where the case drops aren't aligned. The drops slightly off to the side then get pushed into the feed ramp. The feed ramp has a V to accommodate that but cases still get cockeyed.

Without seeing pictures I would adjust the "indexing block" on the left hand side the indexing ring pushes against on the downstroke. It took me a little bit of adjusting to get dialed in, but once its set you'll be good for a while.

This is what a typical jam looks like.

This one looks ok but the right side of the head is not in the slot.

I'll have to take a couple of pictures of when the case just drops.
I've looked in the manual and don't find anything about this under trouble shooting. I also can't find anything about a side to side adjustment. That feed ramp is free floating.

I can't seem to make the picture upload any larger.

I’ve seen how to adjust the indexing block, but it doesn’t adjust side to side. It’s the feed ramp that is the problem, or at least I think it is. But again, I have little to no experience with this.

If you can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it?
