    Shot my first reloads.

Went to the range last night and shot my very first reloads that I made.

357sig...they shot well. I am not a competition shooter, I was more happy that they worked and shot straight.

It was a great feeling of accomplishment and a little confidence booster. I know the veteran reloaders have been in this same position before.

Thank you to all the Calgunner's who have helped me out along the way, especially during these pandemic times!!! This skill has boosted my ability to be that more self sufficient and have 1 less thing to worry about.

Congrats on your new hobby. Now the real fun begins. Tailoring loads to match your gun and your skills!

If the gun didn't blow up, and/or if you didn't lose an eye or a hand, it's all good.

Congrats on successfully firing your first reloads; it's definitely a great feeling.

Were these actually reloads? Or did you use new components?

Either way, it's a nice feeling shooting your load, or reload.

Thank you everyone. Yes, these were my own reloads from once fired brass.

I was able to buy pieces / components / bullets / powder from Calgunner's to successfully make the my first reloads that I shot last night.

I started with only 20, but after last night...I now feel more confident to make a larger quantity and not have to search or rely on factory ammo.

I think I got the reloading bug....

Good work, OP, and welcome to the hobby. As long as you have components in stock, you will have ammo, and that's a very good thing. It feels good to shoot those first ones and have things work, doesn't it? :-)

My first box of .357 Magnum loads took me 4 and a half hours due to repeated paranoia checks. Went and shot 'em, and all was good. Next box took an hour and a half as confidence built up, and the time to make rounds just went down from there. The same kind of thing will happen with you as well.

Now, as you can, go ahead and gradually build up your stock of components. This will happen over time, and you'll be all set.

You also might as well start figuring out now how you're going to store 30 partially full one pound cans of various powders... lol.

Also, 56 boxes of various bullets with 3 - 8 bullets left in each box.

My 1st reloading were in 300 BLK. It was a great feeling when the bullet came out the other end and I still had all my fingers and face

Congrats OP. I still remember shooting my first reloads, that was in 2014. 30-06 hunting rifle. Could not miss the 3" ring at 100 yards across all test charge weights. Never went back to factory ammo again.

the disease has afflicted another. nothing but pain (money) and suffering (time) ahead for this poor sole! Thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours---you're family will think of you as a stranger when you show your face from the reloading shed!! and---it's only a few of one caliber!! yeah---we've all gone down that path!!! Good luck!! 6 tool heads for the 750 and 7u sets of dies for the rock chucker----you're doomed!!

Very good move starting out with a limited number (20). I do the same since if something is not quite right I don't have to disassemble two boxes of loads to fix it.

I still have those checks but since I converted my single stage to LnL bushings, I can pull a bullet, check, bell, seat and crimp in under 2 minutes. I have my collet puller on a LnL bushing as well.
