Did you tip the Dillon rep you bought it from?

Nope, removed the primer parts, the cam parts, the case feeder parts, even the linkage, the main shaft still won't go all the way up.

I need to take off the part the shell plate screws into and see if the main shaft will drop out.

if the case plate is to tight it will stop and an indexing ring issue could stop it as well

If the shell plate pawl is in backwards, it won't rotate either....

There was a slight nick in the main shaft. I just hit it with a honing stone, and it's as smooth as my jr high school girlfriend

The ramp that actuates the case feed arm is touching right at your stop point.
Is the small bushing not seated fully in the casefeed arm?
There's 3 parts to the casefeed, the upper piece that the tube sits into, the little ring in the casefeed arm and the lower aluminum part that threads in from below.
If the little ring is not fully seated, the arm won't fit under the upper casefeed piece.

Another thing is workbench clearance of the linkage.
Is the linkage goes back underneath the workbench.
Is the linkage hitting your workbench?

If you remove the shellplate platform from the ram, you will need an alignment tool from Dillon to properly reinstall it.
Call them and they will send it out for free.
It drops into the powder die and locates the shellplate platform on top of the ram while you snug up the screws that hold the platform to the ram.
Alignment of the platform is critical to proper operation of the press.

There was a small nick in the main shaft that was hitting the press. I stoned it smooth, and it works fine now. Yes, I have the Dillon alignment tool. You drop it in a powder die in station 1.

Run the shell plate up, and it should drop into the primer feed hole.
