    Antioch Gun Show 12-5-20

If anyone is thinking about coming to this show, I would save your time and money.

Entire show is housed in "The Red Barn" with the exception of two vendors outside the front door. Even in the small building, it's not full of vendors and what they have isn't all that great(I'm being nice with my description).

Very little reloading supplies and what they have are older odd and ends. Lots of Chinese import scopes and the biggest vendor has purses and other items.
I was looking for some powder for an 1858 Remington black powder revolver, no powder here at all.

    Disappointed

Wow, that's too bad. Antioch used to be a very nice little show, same with Vallejo.
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

This is the same show runner that had to cancel Santa Rosa.
I highly doubt that anything has had a chance to recover since October, so your comments are not surprising.

That's funny! It actually did take me about 10 minutes to go through the whole show.

I should have gone to the Vallejo show instead. But then again, maybe having a concurrent gun show close by might have something to do with Antioch being so small. Has anyone been to Vallejo today?

Already got the 1858 when Grad and Sons got their shipment last week. Was hoping the gun show had some black powder substitute.

Cow Palace gumshoe is Jan 2nd, usually pretty big with lots of supplies... unfortunately the governors new order for shelter in place extends to the 4th, so probably no gun show. I wonder if he set that end date on purpose.

On the flip side of this coin, FFL's and even gun shows are exempt as essential services.
When I booked the Santa Rosa show, the promoter handed me the exemption forms to give to the So Co Department of Health Services if they gave us any problems, and it included orders directly from the Governor's office.

In theory, it would have to be a blanket shelter in place, the kind that shutters literally everything.

Basically, the Gun Show has to follow the same rules as a grocery store. Only a certain amount of people allowed in at a time, based on the square footage of the venue, social distancing, masks, cleaning everything that is touched, etc.
