Precision Rifle Projectiles....which are considered best quality?

Focusing efforts at ranges of 100-1400 yards, the 6.5 caliber. Pure paper target and occasional steel, longer range rifle loads.

Which Precision Rifle Projectiles are generally considered most favorable or of best quality, consistency, design etc.?

There are so many brands out there Sierra, Barnes, Berger, Norma, Nosler etc.

I'd sure appreciate your guidance and experience in this matter. thank you

I prefer Berger but Hornady Sierra and Nosler are also great.

In my RPR, I really like the Hornaday ELD-M 140gr and 147gr bullets for 600+yards. The 130 Sierra MK is my second choice.

I had never heard of Bib bullets before.....at least right now it doesn't look like they carry 6.5s but i'm curious to learn more about them.

One of the motivations for this post derives from a recent purchase of Nosler RDF projectiles...not sure exactly why but i weighed a few and found a not so insignificant variation in weights. I then took a gander at some of the SMKs i had and found that the meplats weren't all that uniform from projectile to projectile (though they do seem to shoot rather well in my rifle). I wonder if the ELD-M projectiles might be more uniform at least with respect to the meplats?

Something to consider with the 6.5 ELDM and potential jacket failures when pushed. The guys reporting this regularly shoot at Pala and we've shot with some of them at Santa Margarita GC events so I'll believe their story:
Searched for 147 ELDM jacket separation or bullets blowing up/coming apart down range on here and one dead thread with 7 posts about the 147 and another on the 180 ELDMs. Over the past 2 weeks i've talked to at least 15 people who have experienced both factory Hornady 6.5PRC and reloads using...

As for the SMK non-uniform meplat, they can induce slight BC variables but the meplat can be "trued up". As you observed though, it's not a big deal till over 1K yards.

Berger 140gr hybrids are my go to rounds. Next are the Hornady eldm 140s. Sierra 142 work descent as well. I was not too fond of noslers though.
