You should make sure that the muffin pan is steel, not aluminum; lead can get heated dangerously close to the melting point of aluminum. Also, I lightly anoint the inside with grease; it releases the ingots just fine (like buttering a bread pan). Also, don't forget to flux and skim the lead like crazy; scrap lead is DIRTY.Comment

Look at any of the cast bullets you have bought, see the grease in the grooves at the bottom. Once you have the correct lead hardness and pour it into bullets there is still one more step, unless you are using the new "as cast" bullets that only need lubing. Cast bullets must be sized and lubed, you can use a lube/sizer which trims the bullet to the correct size and puts lube into the lube grooves, this setup is rather pricey, as much as the rest of the reloading equipment. The other option is to use a LEE sizer/lube die that is used like any other die in the standard press, they come in a limited number of sizes and are not as accurate as the other but a lot cheaper, about $20 per size. There is one other option if you do copper plating, after sizing the bullets instead of lubing them copper plate them.---------------------------
