Is there a bunch of resistance when the case is going into the die? When you do get the "stuck" case out, how does it look? Any funny markings on the brass? What brand die are you using?

Expander ball? Are you getting some lube inside the neck!

I stuck several cases using a name brand spray lube, so I switched to Imperial Sizing Die Wax. No stuck cases since then.

Just about everyone who reads this forum has gotten a case stuck once.

You need only a tiny amount of lube on the outside of the case and a tiny amount on the inside of the case mouth. Some people have "the knack" for this. I mostly use spray lube now but when I used the thick stiff you squeeze onto a pad, I'd pick up a small amount on the fingers of my (gloved) right hand and then spread it on a group of cases held in my left hand.

Like you----I loaded for 3 years then started with 223. At first I had problems with one shot so came here and asked the same question. I bought the 99 % isopropyl and lanolin----one and done!!!! Works like a charm. I fill a 1 gallon ip lock bag about half full of brass, give it for or five squirts from a large spray bottle-----shake it around and done---works great. I wash beforehand to get range dirt off, then run through a 750 with a trimmer to process then a quick wash again afterwards and all good. I use a wet wash no pins for 223. Come out prettier than new.

Bought, or mix your own? It's easy to make and I've had no issues using it.

Not sure if mixed brass or range pick ups but what it was shot out of also affects this process. I've ran into the same issue and came from range pick ups, or you need more lube.

I don't use spray lubes because I have had too many stuck cases. Spray lubes have not provided the lubricity I want.

I recommend RCBS water soluble and Imperial sizing wax. You stick a case lubed with these excellent lubes, something is really wrong.

Spray the inside of the neck.
I use nitrile gloves. Spray the inside of the neck. After the first two handfuls. There will be enough lube on your gloves. You won't need to spray the outside.

And once a year. I take the expander ball assy out. Chuck it in drill and polishing compound on the expander ball.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

                            Those are two Bing, Bings!

Bing # 1) Range brass. Chambers vary in size. Manufacturer's get tired of complaints about their semi auto jamming, so they have a tendency to ream their chambers larger and larger, for the rock busting crowd who don't clean their weapons. Keeps those guys happy.

Match chambers are tight and even after sizing rock buster range ammunition, you are still going to have stuck cases (with spray lubes) and standard/small base sizing dies.

Standard sizing equipment does not have the capacity to reduce really stretched brass. Brass coming out of military chambers, and rock busting rifle chambers, the stuff is so huge, that standard, and even small base dies, do not have the capacity to reduce them below standard chamber dimensions. That is when the deep pocketed individuals, who want reliable feed and extraction, go buy a roll sizer : http://www.casepro100.com/

                            this one has a video

As you can tell, these are not cheap, close to $1000. And I am sure these are the cheap versions of what ammunition companies use. They are using massive hydraulic equipment that can compress a car to sugar cube size. (tremendous exaggeration) . Now you will run into idiots who will deny this, but all you have to do is experience enough stuck cases in your gun, to figure out, something is not right.

Bing #2) You are using a spray lube. Spray lubes are the lazy man's lube, and like all half-assed measures, they work well in utopia. I have not tried straight lanolin, so no comment on them. I have already made my lube recommendation, and I use them because they work.

I use the alcohol/lanolin mix - tossed around with the brass in a plastic container... you'll be amazed how well this works

I have heard great things about mixing the RCBS case lube with water and might give it a try at some point since I already have a couple of bottles it laying around somewhere
