        I'm in the same boat.

Have all the lead and brand new melting pot. A decent cast bullet of anykind starts ~.10 cents.

Home brew rifle bullets & ~15 grains of pistol powder makes 200 yard rifle shooting inexpensive. Apparently
there is a group of Sacramento Rifle Shooters doing this and they are very successful. Just need to know
how to calculate elevation and wait a few seconds for the bullet to get to the silhouette target.

I don't cast but I reload quite a bit and would be happy to help and show anyone how to get started. I am in the Cameron Park area and currently unemployed so have time to assist anyone who needs it. HAppy to share what I was taught. I have a progressive and a single stage and lots of calibers. PM me and we can set something up.

I just started casting a few months ago. Don't be too intimidated. Once you do it once, it takes away the mystery and it is fairly easy... Repetitive, but easy.

It feels like you are printing money.

Have you considered joining/visiting the Sacramento Reloading Club thread in the sticky area at the top of the page?

google over to the cast bullets site join and read the sticky things that will get you going, and remember when casting if NOT perfect throw them back into the pot and redo easy.

You can come over and cast bullets for me to learn. I'll also allow you to melt down some wheel weights for me and make ingots for educational purposes. All for free.

I am curious about casting too; in Sac area. Specifically, would like to try Minnie ball for 1861 Springfield.
