    H110 for .357 and .40 sw

Anyone use H110 for .357 mag and .40 sw. I found some in cabinet I know it does not work in .38 spl.

I don’t have load data for h110 in the requested calibers.

Check hodgdon site for availability of data.

357m. 158g. There is load data for 158g bullet.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Looks like limited use. Probably sell 1 lb. not likely to use.

H110 or W296 are excellent for .357 Magnum, I use them all the time for 125 and 158 JHP bullets. Lots of published data on these. I wouldn't think it would be appropriate for 40 S&W.

You should only go by published load data, if you do not have manuals I would recommend getting several.

H-110 is my go to powder for 357/44mag/454Casull mag loads.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I look up data as I need to or ask for advice on what reloaders are using. Did not have any luck with 40 loads with H110. i would trade a pound of h110 for a powder I can load.40 with.

Used it in .410 shotgun and 44 mag. Tended more towards Win 296 in 357/44 mag

H110 is specifically a magnum handgun and very small capacity rifle cartridge powder.
Think 357magnum, 44magnum, 22 hornet and the like.
It's very case capacity sensitive and must be loaded to at least 80% case fill.
It's dangerous when the case is not properly filled.

Barrel, sight and trigger work on most pistols and shotguns.
                    Most work performed while-you-wait.

I'll trade you a pound of Hodgdon Universal for a pound of H110.
Hodgdon Universal is a great powder for 40.

I use H110 in 357 for a henry rifle, and the load that is the best for me at 100yds, is a bit too hot for everyday range shooting in a 4 or 6" revolver. That said, it's fairly consistent in the Henry at 100!

Yep. OP, you should take Randall up on this. It's a win for both of you.

Tom-ADC--You do know that H-110 and Win 296 are the same powder.
