New reloading manual
I'd like to get a new reloading manual. What might be the best one to have?

Which ones do you have now? I have a Lyman, which I like.Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

I rely on Sierra manual. Most powder companies provide a free manual also.Comment

Do you need a manual for directions or loads? Either way there is a ton of info on the internet. Nothing in my Lee manual couldnt be found online.Comment

I would get as many as you can, buy a Lyman and get some of the rest from the powder/bullet manufacturer's. You can never have too many references when it comes to reloading data.
I have even bought a few Hornady, Speer and Sierra books from days gone by as there is still valuable information within. There have been changes to the loads over the years and it is good to go back a check an old load, especially if you have been donated some older powder. Since the powder data has changed over the years, the older books are a better source for that older powder.Comment

I have several but my favorite is the Nosler Reloading Guide since I buy new & blem Nosler Bullets from www.shootersproshop.com and their auction site www.bivwak.com .Comment

I go most often to the Lyman book (Rev 47) and learned to load with Hornady's books (Rev 4 I believe). I too confirm my loads by reading the pamphlets sent by the powder MFG or by going to their websites.
I've had poor luck finding load data at the bullet MFG sites... not too surprising, since they all seem to sell books of their own.
If you primarily shoot bullets from one MFG, I would suggest you get that companys book. If you're looking for a good read on loading with mininmal bias as to components, I would suggest buying the Lyman #49.Comment
