    9x18 makarov cases & reloading

OK here goes. Before I start a fury of responses I want to apologize, I think I know what I already know, but I want to be sure I know.

I can trim a 9x19 case to 9x18, no problem, but can I use 9x19 dies to reload them?

    my answer:yes

Would the trimmed case offer less capacity than the factory 9x18 due to different internal dimensions?

my answer:yes, but it doesn't matter, powder volume is less.

    PLEASE give me some input

You may have a hard time with the 9x19 dies , as you already know the the Mak uses a larger diameter bullet than the 9x19 (.355)and with out expanding the the case enough it will be pretty difficult to get the Mak bullet (.363) in and seated .
I trimmed a bunch of 9x19 and it was a pain , you can be dang sure I pickup my brass

I have trimmed many 9x19 cases down into 9x18 cases.
I use the proper 9x18 die though.
