    h110 for 115 gr .38 spl

Anyone use h110 for .38 spl. I have bullseye and h110 and 2400 to choose from. Bullets are 115 grain.,

I was just reading that. Your correct needs higher pressure to burn effectively. Will try bullseye. Loading 500 rounds of target ammo.

Yep, H110 is a bad idea for that load. I use both Bullseye and Titegroup for the type of load that you're talking about. They work very well, indeed.

H110, also known as W296, is really meant for high-pressure loads like full-house .357M, .44M, and .454 Casull. Hodgdon even states in their H110 description that it's the powder that screams, "no wimps, please!" They are referring to loads, of course.

I take the same view toward 2400 powder. I'll use it in either high-powered handgun loads (e. g. .357M) or certain reduced rifle loads.

Save the H 110 for a heavy load big bore and use the bullseye or something else.

The one thing about bullseye to watch for is doubles. Even a 38 special case can probably hold a double charge, and the pressure ramps up really quick on these fast powders.
