Be advised: IF you have spare Dillon Carbide .223 dies, NOW is the time to sell...

Dillon .223 Carbide Resizing Die itself is going for $142-$177 ALONE before shipping... on eBay.
Dillon .223 Carbide Die Set is going for $254-$400 on eBay.

Hell when I busted my Dillon .223 Carbide resizer a few months back, so I bought a set of USED Carbide dies for like $260 myself, but NOW Dillon currently has them back-ordered for MONTHS:

People are REALLY FREAKING TFO, $400 for a $195 set of dies (including shipping from Dillon?)?!?!

I guess most of us are WELL ahead of the game...

I guess you are right, as I have a brand new Dillon Carbide sizing die, and although I have a used one that works perfectly, I wouldn't let the new one go right now for ANYTHING short of like 10x the price I paid... which is VERY unreasonable.

I saw a set of Dillon 9mm dies sell for nearly $700 about a month ago. Just a die set. Thought about listing mine for sale as i think they only cost $75 or $80 and they're still brand new.

I read that from Dillon about a month ago . Got a set of 9mm and .223 dies from Dillon about a week after ordering at that time at normal price . Got a conversion kit too. I had seen and been offered higher prices. Be patient. Don’t panic, deals can still be found. If it says it can be back ordered , you will get it. Projectiles seem to be taking the longest but they trickle in.

I have a slightly different take. I would load up all the .223 brass I have right now. Then sell the backup dies for stupid money. They place a backorder and wait the 24 weeks. The money you make will pay for your backup AND you used die.

geez that might make sell my set of .223, when I bought my 650 it came set up as .223 so I have the dies and conversion. My second 650 also came with .223 dies and conversion so I have 2 sets and I don't even own a .223 and have no plans to ever own one. The problem is that as someone has already said, nothing is extra right now I would not want to need them in the future if I got rid of them...but at that price....

Hmm. My Kitty-litter tote HAD about 1800pcs of .223/5.56 brass, and I came across 2 more coffee tubs full in the reloading room, so if I reloaded 2500-2800 .223/5.56, and STILL had like 2100 SR primers... sold the USED set, AND STILL had my OG set with a NEW Carbide sizing die... oh COVID MATH, it's like the estimating-NEW-MATH!

As for me, I shot 200 rounds of 5.56 this week. BTW, SRM chronographs at no significant difference than SRP (CCI 450 vs CCI 400). I have a few k SR bench rest primers back when they were $25/k so I'll be loading and testing them up next.

I recently sold a set of RCBS what appears to have been a 4-die .38/.357 Mag set, I think for less than I paid, but since NOW I reload these calibers on a progressive, at least some dude in New Mex got a STEAL... and can reload.

That's crazy. I ordered some .308 dies this week, they were in stock at Optics Planet but not Midway. The price was the same though, about $34

File this under "fool me twice": They had 6.5x55 Swede dies that said they will be in stock in 1-6 days... so I ordered them. We'll see what happens with those.
