I already only go there if my wife drags me.

So today after not being there for a year or so I happened to go by the ammo section. Not expecting to see anything but shotshells and obscure calibers I was a bit surprised to find out they sell no ammo here. The guy working in the sporting goods says they sell no ammo in the high desert stores anymore.

They are full retard. Pretty soon I figure the only way to buy boxed ammo in CA will be to ship to a FFL

I only buy .22lr off the shelf and I have no plans to reload that.

No, I stopped going there when they stopped selling handgun ammo.

But my wife and I seem to disagree, on many things because she is a Democrat, a teacher (significant because she is in a Liberal environment at work) and many other things I differ on opinion with. But if she says take me to Walmart because she doesn't feel well then I take her.

Honestly she is very moderate and if it wasn't for the women's rights issues and masogonistic culture of many Republicans she would be one. Her understanding the connection between her views and voting relating to our 2nd amendment and other issues has been a rocky road but she is starting to see it through my eyes.

Yes, she's a gun owning Democrat, and a hell of a shot! She even bought me a XD Tactical 9mm two years ago when I was off work for a year. I think I keep her

I was in the Chico store the beginning of the month. There was no ammo and the manger of the sporting goods section said that it was not likely they will be selling ammo in the future.

They always had ammo and was a good source for me. Now it's only Sportsman's Warehouse and Kittle's.

You have to now look ahead for what you might need for several years and buy in bulk. You can't hesitate. If you do, you'll go without.

This year is a perfect example.

Well, since Walmart stopped, and went full-pinko, I am SURE that LGS shops are (well were, before COVID bureaucrats went fuller-PINKO[?]) getting good revenue from ammo sales... and the impulse buys of guns and accessories.

I was told at a LGS that the last 2 years have been slow, and they were hurting bad for the 1st 3 months of this, but are better now. I am glad I picked up something there, w/some ammo just last year, I think it was.

It's all of CA.
It's because it's difficult for a large company like Walmart who employs at minimum wage to keep firearms sales associates licensed and scheduled so that there is always someone who has the state training/certification actually in the department.
Almost no other departments require special certifications so any associate can fill in when needed.
That's NOT so for guns/ammo.

In Virginia, they still carry rifle ammo, as long as it's not .223/5.56. Yep, .22LR is still sold at Walmart. No more "handgun" ammo, though. I hope they reverse that decision soon.

Actually, some out here are actually FFL's as well and sell guns! Yes, that's right, in parts of Free America, the Walmarts are gun dealers, too, much like Big 5 or Dick's Sporting Goods.

What about Walmart in other states?

In free states, most walmarts sell guns and ammo.
It's the cities/states with more restrictions where they have pulled out on a store-by-store basis as they figured out that they don't make enough profit in the individual stores to justify the administrative hassles.

I have about ZERO need to go to Walmart anymore, and only buy from them if the walmart.com price is lower than Amazon.com... which isn't much, unless a niche item. I'd rather buy from Amazon, as they didn't used to be non-pinko, then went pinko...
They are on my way home, but the place is like Mos Eisley, even during the day now...

The problem is that Amazon 20lb rice prices is WAY more than Walmart's, in price per oz. Same with canned Chicken, but not Hormel chili, generally.

Target used to be the place for poor people to hang out and shop for way too long, but it's Walmart now for the Welfare Hordes.

I had no problem getting ammo at walmart 2 weeks ago in El paso. Stacks of shotgun ammo no 9mm or .223 on the shelves.

A friend of mine works at Turners. He said they bought up all of WM's ammo from their warehouse. It's gone from WM California.

Less than 10 months ago I went to the Wal-Mart in Anderson, CA to find boxes of Remington 9mm and .223 (50rd) green and white box. The 9mm was $5 and the .223 was $7. I bought every box they had. Wal-Mart has made it clear that they care a lot more about the .000001% chance of their ammo being used in an offensive situation, compared to the many Americans that need affordable ammo in a defensive situation. I will not shop there anymore. Mainly because I cannot stand the masses of people, parents screaming at their kids. I go to other stores that also hate 2A, but are less chaotic. Lol, I try not to but dang, is it hard.
