Lapua Brass

Did my first reloads with Lapua Brass : yeah, it's worth it.

Yeah, it is.
My only problem is that while shooting with a SA rifle, I get distracted trying to watch where every single piece ends up!
Certainly slows things down and allows me to use less ammo in a session.

I'm guessing he's referring to Full Length Resizing them.

Lapua brass is like any other commercial brass with better consistency. I use it for 308 bolt gun only and I just neck size it each time.

lapua brass does not need to have the primer pocket swaged as no crimp is used.

All brass has a 'primer pocket', it's where the primer goes......

the general rule on Lapua brass is mess with it as little as possible... odds are your tools are less accurate than the factory's

It appears to be primer crimp, but it is not. You can just seat the primer with little effort.

Primer pockets are crimped after the primer is inserted. So unless you primed that Lapua brass and crimped it yourself, you don't need to swage it.

I should've said/meant that there appears to be a primer pocket crimp ring in the brass - and wondered if I used CCI #34 if it needed to be swaged after firing and before reloading.

You might actually have to swage or ream it. I just finished loading up a batch of Lapua made 7.62x39 brass that had overly tight primer pockets. I used a primer pocket reamer rather than swage on mine but I think either would have worked. If it's really hard to get it to seat fully you might need to do the same.
