A range day is always nice.

But man, these new shooters are leaving more and more gifts everytime I go.

Last week LC 308 brass laying on the ground and in boxes in the garbage.

Today......LC 223 and federal 7.62x39 brass all over the place, don't know if
A range day can get better. My tumbler is working overtime now.

You should let the brass hit the floor before you claim it.

I am thinking of putting my own garbage can out there, so I don't have to scrounge around in theirs.

I almost forgot, last week went in the target stand shed and someone left a stand with
      Those fancy shoot-n-see targets unmolested.

It was always nice at Metcalf. Shoot 200 rnds, bring home 500 cases.
I was like a poor person looking for plastic bottles, but I didnt give AF. I was thinking .... "thats 3 cents, thats another 3 cents, ooh, thats 25 cents".

I always shoot on public lands (Idaho), about 30 mins away. Normally, I dont run into people. This last weekend, I parked in this premium spot, 110M from the backstop, laid out the table, guns, steel targets, and shot a few. Then this truck comes rolling up and the guy gets out and says "Dont mind me, Im just picking up brass". I told him "I reload too, theres a couple of piles, but my brass is already mixed in with it", slapped in a 30rnd mag in the AR, loaded it and put it on the table. I never do that, but I wanted him to know it was not safe to go down range. I fumbled in the back of the truck with a loaded Sub2k w/30 rnd glock mag until he left. He was trying to make small talk, but Im not cool with people coming around to pick up my brass. Probably a new reloader thinking hes doing something most people dont do.

Last time I went shooting at WEGC, two guys who are manufacturers were doing rock 'n roll with 9mm and 5.56. They took some and left quite a bit, always a nice find. The bay I was in had several hundred 9mm and 45acp cases, all new. My son and his guests shagged a lot of brass that day.

There's a guy who lives a lot closer to my favorite local shooting spot than I do, so I try to get there late in the day before he arrives and after most everyone else who shoots there has left. I think he sends what he picks up to the local recycling place that pays roughly 30% of what it's worth to reloaders.

I'll be mostly shooting for free for the rest of my life if I never pick up another casing.

I got left 40pcs of once fired Hornady .338LM. I thought no one was leaving brass until the person next to me told me about it.
