Reloading 22LR. Is this the new 9mm reloading debate?

22lr reloading will not become practical for quite a while.
It’s not a matter of cost either.
Now, if the supply dries up like it did a few years ago for a decade, then maybe.
Of if the Dim put a 30% tax, sure.
But taxing a banning reloading supplies will follow a gun, then ammo ban/licensing scheme.?The constitutional right to bear arms in public for self-defense is not a ?second-class right,? subject to an entirely different body of rules than the other Bill of Rights guarantees.? ?.. "We know of no other constitutional rights that an individual may exercise only after demonstrating to government officers some special need."

I prepared for the ammo ID scheme by spending the two or so years before the law came into effect laying in .22 whenever they could find it.
Due to an accounting error on my part, instead of what I thought would be a lifetime's worth of .22, I have about 75% more than I planned to buy.
I am set but this subject is fascinating.Originally posted by tony270It's easy to be a keyboard warrior, you would melt like wax in front of me, you wouldn't be able to move your lips.Originally posted by repubconservPrint it out and frame it for all I careOriginally posted by el chivoI don't need to think at all..XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOriginally posted by pjsigYou are talking to someone who already won this lame conversation, not a brick a wall. Pick up a levergun in .38/357 and use a light .38 Special load. Feels very similar to a .22LR. It's essentially the "reloadable .22"."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"

If it gets to the point where we NEED to reload .22... we're in a WORLD of hurt...

All things old become new again at some time. Here is my experience on reloading / loading 22LR.

LOL...... coincidentally, I was just shooting my "new to me" lever gun with my .38spl reloads. 3gr of bullseye with a 125gr bullet. Absolutely no recoil at all, and relatively minor report.
Regarding .22, after the last shortage, I stocked up, up, up..... I'll never run out.
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

^^ My own load is 3.9gr Bullseye with a 105gr cast bullet. Same thing. It's just sweet to fire.
Might try out your 125gr load and see how it goes. Thanks!
As for the stocking up...you did exactly the right thing."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"
