    Ammo Shortages

Things are looking bad all over, it appears

    July 29, 2020 by Shawn

Few could have predicted the volatile 2020 timeline that has resulted in ammunition supply shortages across the nation.

America is a country seemingly divided in the wake of COVID-19 fears, polarizing political partisanship, civil unrest, and concerns relating to mass unemployment and the potential loss of small businesses.

Consequentially, firearm retailers and manufacturers are reporting record surges in gun and ammunition sales.

If you need it...buy it.....at this time its not about cost...its about availability and upcoming civil discourse. Its about how many rounds you think you will use to get through riots, disease, etc. Can't help but feel... dark clouds ahead....

Or you could do like some of the smart buyers did back when the Kenyan born president was in office, and pick up a few 40s. I took this pic last week, look familiar? A few boxes of 357 Magnum, 460 Rem Mag and a whole lot of 40.

Twelve years ago an acquaintance tried to convince me the unwashed hordes would march down the Peninsula from San Francisco pillaging, raping and burning. I'm still waiting.

Twelve months from now I will be happy to step in and buy surplus components...at a discount from retail.

If you have some spare time, the author of Moneyball wrote another book called The Undoing Project. It's about how people process risk and it's not a heavy lift. I highly recommend it.

The difference is that if you're right, the worst is that you spent a bit more on ammunition than the normal rate. But if you're out of stock on ammo and you're wrong, it doesn't matter what the price is if you can't buy any.

I've had to search high and low. But in the past week I've managed to find good quantities of ammunition at affordable prices... and some with excellent deals.

I am well stocked and have been for many years.

That's the same reasoning the people with garages now full of toilet paper used.

Not saying it was overreaction, just that you evaluate your risk, and act as you see fit. Sometimes you're right, sometimes not.

I'm waiting right NOW for UPS to drop me off another 500rds. (IMI 5.56) from S&G this time. I picked up 1k of PMC XTAC 5.56 yesterday. I've added another 2,500rds. of 5.56 in the past two weeks.

I had one shiite-ton BEFORE this latest panic began, but if the Anqueefers get froggy BEFORE of AFTER the election, what you've GOT, is ALL you got, until those floaters are waffle-stomped down the drain of history.
