    Wally world ammo sit rep

Wife needed some things for canning pickles so I went there this morning to look see for those items and at the ammo situation. Lots of shotshells on the shelf and a pallet in the isle. Bought 4 boxes of CCI Mini Mag 22 lr 40 gr target. Savage rifles marked way down but still a pass for me, rest of the ammo pretty much the norm now since the sell out. Maybe it's more of a California thing being short of shells. At any rate might go to Sportsman's this afternoon after lunch to look there to.

I’m traveling in Washington state at the moment. At the local WM, they had plenty of ammo. Just nothing in pistol calibers and no .223/5.56 ammo. Plenty of everything else.

Yah they stopped stocking .223, 5.56x45, 7.62x39, etc, practically all common intermediate rifle cals, even 9mm nd most other handgun rounds w/ the exception of revolver rounds last summer I think. Tbh I was surprised they still carry 7.62x51/.308 whenevs they can get their hands on any

My local Walmart sporting goods manager sez they will send no more ammunition, period. Decision as of last week. They had empty shelves.

They might be able to get away with that in states where Democrats are the majority voters (e. g. California, Washington State). But if Walmart tries that in the South, they stand to lose a lot of business there.

I think they still carry .308 Win for two reasons.

1.) It's used a lot for hunting medium game and up, nationwide.

2.) The military forces settled on the AR-15, not the AR-10. Had the armed forces gone AR-10 (the original Stoner design), then Walmart would probably have stopped .308 Win inventory and .223 Rem probably wouldn't even exist.

No more ammo sales in Huntington Beach after remining stock is sold. Only oddball rounds left.
