Your case has a belly button .

Is that a mew piece? Could be corrosion that chunked off and cleaned up after tumbling if a used piece.

Looks like the beginning of a split? Brass workhardens and becomes brittle after a few reloads.

Maybe it was fired in a pressure gun.
Pressure gun fired cases usually have a hole on the side from the copper crusher or where it was drilled for use with a Piezo sensor.

Looks like a porosity pit in the initial casting or forging process...
                    Chuck it and move on...
                    Cheers...

Chucking 12 so far. All Winchester. Interesting. But yes- definitely chuck and move on. Picked up a bunch of marginal brass apparently.

Would seem odd for those to make it back into circulation.

Cases used in a pressure measuring copper crush have a round raised portion where the case presses up against the hole where the copper slug is crushed.

Here's an interesting defect I found on a brand new Remington 375 H&H case.
