What caliber(s)?
What volume?
Turners used to have 1 lb. of a few common powders.
I order everything online. Various sites have free hazmat offers a couple times a year.
The Crossroads gun show used to be a good place to get what you needed. -
Get on the Grafs, Brownells, Midway, and Powder Valley email lists and watch for free haz and free shipping specials.
There are a number of LGSs in San Diego county that will cheerfully charge you the full haz fee for one lb out of the whole case that they ordered in. Nice 100%+ profit coming out of your pocket. It's not PTSD, it's nostalgia.Comment

Take a look at American Reloading. Lots of pulled bullets, brass, and cheap powder to get you started and for cheap practice/plinking ammo. For the powder, hazmat and shipping are included in the price. They have sales pretty much every week so just sign up and wait for the sale email before you buy or check for the sales on the website.Comment
