Buying ammo seems impossible
Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.
The U.S. city with the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, Washington, D.C., has the highest murder rate at 24 per 100,000.
The state with the most unrestrictive gun regulations, Vermont, has the lowest murder rate at 0.48 per 100,000.Tags: None -
Are you trying to ship it to your house or something?Link to my feedback: https://www.calguns.net/forum/market...ser-tradecraft -
Yup. I thought the whole FFL ammo thing was defeated in court.Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. It was defeated in court for one day.... A stay was issued and is currently moving forward in the courts.... ammo purchases are back to FFL to FFL (out of state purchases) and of course the background check.... NRA along with CRPA have been working hard to help find this law unconstitutional and of course we have Judge Benitez on our side.NRA Members' Council of the High Desert President

Call a local FFL and find out their process for receiving ammo from out of state and transferring to you. Expect to pay something for that service.
If you want to forego those hassles and fees, find what you're looking for in a local shop and purchase in person (if it's something they don't stock, try asking if they'll order it for you - worst they can say is "no".)Comment

Sportsmans Warehouse. Have it shipped to a local store and pick up there if not in stock.

Y'all might be late to the party. Ordered a carbide Dillon .223 resizing die and it just arrived last week, when I ordered it 3/31/20... I have never heard of Dillon lacking stock before.
Lots of new gun owners, and they ALL need to feed their firearms...
Most of us have seen the shortages of 22lr, 9mm, and .223/5.56 in the past, so we knew to stack and stock for the lean times... And maybe stack some reloading components so we don't have issues others are currently having.
If/When all this clears up, make sure to stack MOAR. :-)
I am surprised that I was able to find a good deal on IN STOCK projectiles the other day during all this panic, but if Dillon isn't able to get orders out for nearly 3 months... Maybe we should be worried?
You can contact a local ffl and ask their procedure for external ammo drops where they would do the background check, as stated above.Comment

Bass Pro sent me two emails...one cancelling my 2 case order, a second saying it was being processed. (sigh)Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. Bass Pro Hell
I've had it with Bass Pro. I ordered ammo online for store pickup. Got to the store and gave up after waiting 2 hours in line. I requested a refund on the way out. Buying online is no advantage. You wait in the same line as everybody else when you get there. (Background check, etc.)
I'm now loading all my own ammo. Everything I need including powder is delivered to my door. I wonder how long before CA shuts this down. Guess I'll stock up on components.Comment

You said it. With the exception of .22LR, we haven't bought factory ammo in some time now, as we reload everything else that we shoot. Everyone in California should own something like a Classic Turret Press, or similar, for general-purpose ammo availability."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"

Well Ades Guns was able to secure 3 cases of Hornady GMX Superformance Centerfire Rifle Ammo - 6.5 Creedmoor - 3050 fps. Gotta wait a couple of weeks for it but I got it. I guess this is the new normal. Ten days after ordering from Bass Pro and having the order promptly cancelled...they still show a pending transaction on my credit card.
