Yes the top groove is for crimping, the bottom is the lube groove, doesn't need any lube though because it's coated. As with many of the Missouri bullets, they're copies of laser cast bullets. So use the laser cast load Data (Oregon trail)

Ensure that you seater punch fits correctly. I didnt have a RN seater And used one for SWC then the coating Scraped off. Shot OK as the sides, back of the bullet was untouched, but the heads “looked” funky.

About to start reloading 45 colt. What bullet weight? What powder you like?

            This is the bullet:
Missouri Bullet Company offers premium lead bullets at affordable prices. We make hardness optimized bullets for the velocity of the loads you shoot.

My load is 13 gr of AA#7. OAL is 1.600+/.005"

I extrapolated that load from a couple of published Ruger T/C only loads found in the Lee manual. The estimated pressure is 19.5 ksi- much lower than most Ruger T/C only loads. But be sure your gun can handle it.

I wish I had quick load so I could verify it but I don't. So user beware.

I run it in both new model Vaqueros and a Marlin 1894 carbine. No issues.

be careful there ate 45 colt loads for OLD guns like colts and the repo's then Rugers.

depending on what gun you have you may need to load the lighter ones.

I load 6.5 grs Unique with a 255 gr round nose
