Hi, anyone know of a place with decent shipping on powder? Looking for low / reasonable Haz and shipping fees.

If you plan on buying 1lbs or 2lbs kind of not worth it because of hazmat fees

Low hazmat fees might be $10-$13 on top of shipping. Get primers too to make it worth it. Midwayusa, grafs, power valley all good.

Powder Valley seems to have good prices, usually 10 to 20 less when buying 8lb jugs. If you do buy, it's best to get at least 2 jugs to make it worth it from the Hazmat. Be on the look out for deals obviously. Problem is now you pay sales tax on most if not all sites.

I've found Grafs is good for componants, especially when you buy in bulk and PV for powder.

Yes, I agree...1lb or 2lbs is not worth the additional fees.

I'll check out the sites that everyone provided. I noticed a lot of pistol powder is sold out or on backorder.

You should look for other reloaders in your area who want to do a group buy to split the shipping/hazmat fees. Midsouth has lots of powder in stock at better prices than most local stores. Last time I needed powder, four of us did a group buy for 30 pounds so the price per pound delivered was still lower than anyone local.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to try reloading 357sig, so it's been fun hunting for pistol powder.

I have saved the links, just waiting for the right time to purchase, or take a short road trip to Phillips in Covina.

Keep the info coming...I'm a rookie, so I'm going to soak up all the info I can get and pass the info along to someone else who steps into my shoes.

What are your thoughts on AA#5 and Blue Dot? Most of everything is sold out. I want to get my hands on something before it's too late or before an extreme shortage on powder.
