Shotgun Slug lead?

Getting ready to try my hand at casting some 12ga slugs. I have plenty of Lyman #2 lead ingots. Is this to hard to be used for casting slugs?

No. It depends on what you're using them for.
Ideally you want dead soft lead but #2 or WW works fine also, just don't expect any expansion. I shoot Lee 1 oz slugs made of WW or reclaimed shot and have dug them out of the dirt and they often look as good as when they were cast.
