9mm JHP OAL WSF charge question

Need some guidance from the group. I bought some 115gr JHP from a guy recently and the HP is gigantic. I made a few rounds plunk testing it into my CZ75 SP-01 barrel and the OAL that works is 1.045". Any longer doesn't work with this barrel. I'm using 5.0grns WSF (lowest recommended charge, 5.0-5.6gr). Speers is listing 115 JHP OAL of 1.125" and 1041fps.

I'm a bit concerned about the safety factor with the OAL difference.

Any suggestions? Drop to 4.7-4.8grns WSF?

Thanks in advance for any help.

115gr FMJ is short and stubby. More so for JHP.

Weigh a few samples and confirm they are 115gr.

    I shoot WSF but 124s.

Hogdon says 115 gr JHP WSF is 5.2 to 5.7. COL 1.07

I would not go below minimum recommendation. I wouldn’t be too concerned about pressure at 1.045 as long as you’re at minimum recommnded, and work up from there.
