      I have seen that effect before. It looks a lot more like an incipient case head separation than the effects of a dent. Don't fire your rifle again until after you've had the head space checked. If heavy charges have caused excessive head space you may have a dangerous situation. It's better to check the head space to be sure than to guess about other possible causes. If the head space is OK then look to see what else it could be.
