    .223 Remington reloads

    Hello all,

For those of you who reload, can you share some successful and accurate 223 Remington loads you have come up with, with some details on the cartridge? Also I would like to know what the barrel length is for your AR. Thanks.

    69gr SMK
    25.3gr or Varget
    Winchester primer
    Lake City brass

1/4MOA groups with my DPMS 16" bull barrel.

I have tested a number of different loads and this one seems to do the best all around in all my 223 rifles. You really have to do you own testing to find out waht your rifles like but the load above is a nice place to start. Good luck

Also I'm going ot have to move this to the reloading section. Hang on tight.....WEEEEEEEEEEEE

The gunsmith who built my upper uses 23.5 gr. of H4895, CCI primer, and the Hornady 75 gr. bullet as her "proof" load.

I don't know what the speed is, but it's accurate. If I find the test target, I'll post it up.

I personally use 24.5 gr. of RL15, Remington 7.5 primer with the same bullet for my loads out to 300 yards.

      YMMV

Thanks guys for the loads... What are the twist rates on your barrels?

oy, forgot to add the barrel info:

1:8 twist, 20", Lothar Walther barrel, Wylde chamber

.223 is not a finicky caliber to load for, very easy to find an accurate load
