    30-30 lever bullets

Gonna reload some 30-30 for the first time. Haven't shot the rifle since 1990. Need some good bullets----having a hard time finding any at the moment and not sure what to use.

Open for suggestions and or if anyone has about 500 hundred they want to part with let me know----thanks

I would use Hornady FTX if you wanted a high end bullet for 30-30. Same bullet they use for there LEVERevolution rounds.

My buddy was shooting factory lerevolution bullets before. Had a devil of a time sighting in as about every 3rd or 4th one would take a HUGE flyer and be like over a foot off. Anyone else have issues?

I use Oregon Trail Laser Cast for my .30-30 and .32 Special. Work great and no leading.

Tagging along. Just looked and I don't have any 30-30 appropriate bullets... I don't have a 30-30 rifle either but I do have several hundred brass, dies and a buddy that lets me shoot his 30-30 golden boy often.

I load for my dad's 1894 in 25-35 and I had a lot of fun finding 25 cal 117's lead free round nose. I was to avoid spitzers in a tube magazine because you could set off a primer... is that for real?

I have used 110gr 30 carbine bullets with excellent results.

Win 748, IMR4064, IMR3031, IMR4895. There are a lot of powders that work in the 30-30. Unique if you shoot cast like goldfish and I do.

The 200 I have are jacketed soft points.... Now all I need is a gun. I'd love a 94, golden boy would be nice... this might be acceptable if it weren't for the glow sights and the rail :yuck:

Depends on what you want to do.

I have great success plinking with Missouri Bullet Company 165 RNFP over 5.5 grains of Red Dot.

Cheycast bullets have also worked well for me.

Edit: seems both companies are generally backordered.

                            Good luck!
