Space is pretty limited for me. Does anyone have a system they've come up with were you can bring your reloading setup out, reload, and then pack it away?

RCBS Partner press mounted to their Accessory Base Plate-3. Then use C-clamps to mount the setup anywhere you like and take it down when you are done.

I use a couple bolts to secure it to my table, and remove them when I want to store it. Takes 5 minutes max.

You still need a place to put the dismounted equipment, which I found out when going to quick change top and base plates for my InLine Fabrications junior mount. What you can do is save bench real estate, but overall you will still need sturdy shelving or other out of the way surface somewhere.

I used to C-clamp the press to the dining room table. Less than 5 minutes.

Any difference in dies between RCBS, Lee, and Dillion?

There are slight design differences, and folks tend to get really nutted up over their favorites, but any of them will get the job done. Hornady and Forster also make very good dies.

My personal favorite is Redding. The finish quality is good, and they knurl all of the handling surfaces. I don't need a wrench and stops me from over-tightening everything. IMHO, Redding has the best telephone support for their products, closely followed by RCBS. My only criticism of Redding is that they do not make dies for large rifle calibers.

Pick up a loading manual (pretty much any of them) or the above-referenced ABC's of Reloading, and read the info prior to the load data. Get a mental picture of each step, both actions and the reasons for the process. Then, if you have questions, you can ask specifics (which is what you'd do at a club.)

It's not rocket science, but it's also not something you can make a whole bunch of mistakes at and come away unscathed, either.

Do some calibers only come in 3pc die sets? Using lee as a reference here. I figured I’d pick up a couple of 4pc die sets so I’d have the factory crimping die for that caliber if I needed it. Can only find the 4pc sets in certain calibers

So I’m about to buy a Lee Deluxe 4 die set for 38/357 mag.

How do I make a brass / bullet / powder / primer choice?

Rounds are for range time. I’m guessing I decide the bullet weight I want and then look at the powder table and pick what the store has from the list?

I had my setup bolted to a bench in the garage at first, but after dealing with some surface rust starting, I moved to a setup in the house. I've been using this stand for 25+ years. It fits in the closet if needed.
