    Best .243 Varmint Bullets?

Soooo many Choices, what is a good accurate varmint bullet in 243? 1/10 twist.

I plan on hunting squirrels and rock chucks later this year.

Some say that he once mooned two prostitutes just for a round of drinks, but wasn't surprised by the reply......They call him, the Hutch
Some say that he rode a dirtbike 7k miles across the country and that he once applied Bengay to his own testicles for a mere $50............They call him, the Hutch -Top Gear

Can’t say it’s the best but an 87g vmax (hornady) is awesome ....decent bc for a lightweight bullet & will be just fine with 1/10 twist . My LR243 upper shot it the best out of the projectiles I tried .

My hunting partner has great results with the Nosler 70 gr. Ballistic Tip and Win. 760 powder. Factory Remington 700 varmint barrel.

No one likes the 55 grain offerings?

I wouldn't waste a .243 round on squirrels if you have something smaller, like a .22, .223 or .17 HMR. But if that's what you want to do, I load 50 grain VMAX for .223 and they shoot well. There are at least a couple of similar choices for .243.

For varmints I have a 243 , 22.250 and a 5.56 with the high cost of components the 5.56 gets the nod with it being able to push the 35 grain NTXs Horndy at over 4,000 feet per second for half the cost with more then acceptable accuracy. I do miss the instant evaporation the 22.250 produces with the 55 grain Hornady SX bullets

I think that the best all range lead free option is the 62 grain Barnes Varmint Grenade. Its the same profile as a 75-80 grain lead bullet but at 62 grains, it's light enough to push to high velocity.

For my Rem. Varmint Specials in .243 and 6mm I use both Nosler and Sierra 55 grain bullets. I use Varget, IMR 8208, 3031. and Benchmark Makes pink mist out of squirrels and stops coyotes dead in there tracks.

Is this for lead free Cali? If so Nosler 55 Grain Lead Free are the best hands down.
