De primeing only on Dillon 650 ?

I usually de Prime by hand but was wondering. I tumble the brass after the de Prime. If I use my 650 just to deprime, how dirty would the first station get and would it be necessary to break it down and clean before running a batch of ammo? All my brass is from door range so no dirt,mud.

You should not get the 1st station that dirty from just depriming. Almost all of the cleaning that I perform on my Dillon 650 is with a stiff paint brush. Other than removing a few parts, that is all that is necessary to clean out any debris.

Agreed. I do full case .223 prep on my 650 and it doesn't get that dirty. I use a small stiff paint brush to brush away the little bits and pieces too.

On my Dillon SDB, I just remove the die and leave the decapping pin in place, nothing can possibly get mucked up.
Not sure if the 650 can do that same thing though?

Get a separate head and a universal decap die, if you’re going to do this often and are worried about it. I do that on my 550 a lot, and it is impressive how many cases you can process in a short period of time.

This is exactly what I do. If it gets a little dusty bust out the shop vac.
