Was at a store up in Reno today - Scheel's.
Saw a few guys in there, knew very very little about reloading other then the fact that it's a way to make your own ammo. Watched these guys buy pretty much anything and everything you could need to get set up. Progressive Press (lee something or another - 1000 perhaps?) Tumbler, lots of brass, lots of bullets, reloading books - scales, everything. They're all psyched thinking they're going to beat the ammo shortage by making their own.
The two things they were sorely lacking, and where their lack of knowledge really stuck out like a sore thumb...
of all the $1000+ they prolly dropped on reloading equipment, they didn't have a single primer, or a single can of powder.
The salesman that was helping them - to his credit did not push them into buying anything. He was very polite and very professional and simply answered any questions they had. Neither he or I had the heart to tell 'em....
