New to reloading

Theres a lot of equipment in the market place, but nobody wants to ship, even if its paid for.

Picking up a Lee and looking for a progressive. The reviews on the progressives are all over the place.

Lee Pro 1000 for pistol, RCBS or similar single stage for rifle rounds. I've been flogging a Lee 1000 since about 1996 or so, and after 10's of thousands of rounds it hasn't broken yet.

A lot of bang for the buck with a Lee Pro 1000.

2. hollow ram. It is so nice not to chase primers all over my shop. I did that for a year with an RCBS and it got old.

I hear ya. The best thing I've found is to place a 5 gallon plastic bucket underneath the RCBS primer catcher with a piece of foam in the bottom.

So Im getting a Lee Challenger and a Lee Pro 4000 progressive. It looks like a good inexpensive way to get into reloading.

I just started reloading a few months ago, went with a Hornady Progressive.

You can run a progressive in a near single-stage setup, to learn all the steps. Then no new equipment to buy for full progressive loading.

I've found that grafs has great prices on reloading presses. Even better if you have your FFL03 and can get dealer pricing. I started reloading about 7 years ago with a Lee hand loader and a set of 45 acp dies. Recently I got a Hornady LNL progressive and reload 44 magnum, 9mm, and 45 acp. Hornady has the get loaded 2020 deal where you can get 500 free bullets with the purchase of a press and 100 free bullets with the purchase of their custom dies.

Cool, thanks for the input. I went to get the Lee Press for a local shop and with all of this Corona crap going on, I didnt feel like waiting a couple of hours. Also it look like lots of reloading supplys were bought up as well.

So unless some one on the site will ship or is local with what Im looking for at a reasonable
Price, looks like I will wait to get this going.

So Im starting off with 308, 45acp and 9mm. Got a great price on the Lee presses I was looking at.

Now Im shopping for primers, powder and bullets for each one of them. The research is fun and of course the shopping for new stuff. This is just fo something to keep me busy at night, but will turn into some serious shooting for the summer coming.

Going to start of with Barns for the 308 and Horndy for 45 and 9mm. But looking at powder, theres a little more to look into.

I will be messing around at USI when things settle down and then Sac gun range for distance. Also have a few things in the works for some out of state fun.

Ive never been to Panoche, but it sounds like a lot of people like that area.

Going to open the Lyman book in the next couple of days to start on the long road to a lot of reloading.

With primers a midway tumbler some brass and scale. reloading calipers a speer reloading manual, Pretty much to get you started. this is pistol calibers only. Oh i have some 296 powder as well. let me knowI live in the pasadena ca area
