    lee load master

anybody here use the lee loadmaster. just looking for some feed back. taking the plunge and starting to reload. but need some opinions on the load master. looks to be in my price range that im willing to spend on a reloader. not looking to spend $1000 dollars as this will be my first press. but thats not to say i will not get something better in the future.

    TIA

If you like to tinker on presses, it works good. I prefer my Dillons as I set them and forget them and load thousands. The Hornady LNL aslo is much easier to set up as is the RCBS 2000.

^ what he said. I own one, and use it, its not as fast or easy as the more expensive presses, but then again you didn't spend the money others did. Also, you will find that your loads should come out very accurate, as the process facilitates good loading habits.

At home you can have a 20.00 dollar lee loader, or a $1000 star loading system. or anything in between. what we all know is that the manufactures really back up their product today. any kind of problem at all and they really jump hoops to get you what you need. That being said. At the range the quality of your ammo. Weather it being made on the 20.00 lee classic loader or the 1000 dollar deal. does not matter any more. In fact you could shoot rounds from both spectrums and find that the quality of the ammo is near exactly the same or the cheaper gave you the better. Not all the times is it the more expensive gave you the better ammo. Though on some of the lesser expensive units you do have to do a few more adjustments. However the dillion is still not the cadilac of reloading. it has been proven that their are other units just as good or with better features. in the end pick a reloading system that best fits your budget and what your going to do. if the lee loadmaster is within your budget then thats whats best for you. Think of it this way. how many rounds will it take for you to load to pay for the 1000 dollar reloader. chances are it will take a great number of years

i wont be tinkering with it too much, just reloading 9mm and 45. i go through about 600 rounds of 9mm and 400 rounds of 45 every month. and with the price of ammo now. i cant afford to keep this up.

thanks for the feed back guys.
