    Anybody ever shot 405 Winchester?

Some say that he once mooned two prostitutes just for a round of drinks, but wasn't surprised by the reply......They call him, the Hutch
Some say that he rode a dirtbike 7k miles across the country and that he once applied Bengay to his own testicles for a mere $50............They call him, the Hutch -Top Gear

I have, it's a fun lever gun round. It's a .411 bullet and kicks like a full load 45-70, not the anemic trapdoor version. Teddy Roosevelt used it on his year long safari after he left the presidency and took animals up to rhinoceros with it. He called it "Big Medicine".

Looked like a beast. Bet Brass is expensive

Shame the museum didn’t have a round next to the rifle to give comparison. Their Ammo board had every period correct caliber except 405 WCF

Brass is near impossible to find right now, Its not a high pressure cartridge rattle your brain for the rest of the day, But you know you touched something respectful off.
Remember... Four boxes keep us free: the soap box, the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box.

If you don't turn in your guns, they can't make you ride in the cattle cars.

Thought it was kinda of a cool round when I realized some serious American Baddass’s loved the caliber

I have three; two are 1895s (Miroku) and the 3rd is a Ruger #1. I think it is a great caliber. There is a Woodleigh 400 gr. Bullet that can be loaded to 2000 FPS.
