Seems rather unnecessary. The whole point to tracer ammo is when firing FULL AUTO you can walk the stream of fire into the target. No F/A in CA means not much point to tracer type ammo. By definition, if you are watching the sights and target, you will not get a good view of the "streak" And if you are trying to watch the streak, you will not be properly watching the sights and target. Even in the videos on the mfg website they show several instances of FULL AUTO fire using the ammo. The semi auto stuff seemed pointless.

AFAIK, tracers are illegal, and a felony each from what I have read... Unless one is an FFL?

These are legal in Ca. They are "cold tracers". I have bought and used them to demonstrate to classes.
