    Reloading for a AR

I have only been reloading for my AR for a year.

It is the first semi auto with a bottle necked cartridge that I have been reloading for.

I shot 200 rounds yesterday. Today, I am sizing them.
I am fooling around checking the head space on the fired rounds with a Hornady headspace comparator.

The head space on the fired rounds come out at 1.465 inches. Sized rounds come out at 1.460 inches. Which I think is not bad. The rifle functions like it should.

My question is.....should I leave it alone ( I think I will), or should I adjust my dies to bring the sized rounds to 1.462?

    What would you experts do?

    Take care

i think i trim all my brass to 1.749 (its just just where my possum hollow comes out)but i caliper them all before trimming and only trim ones that are over 1.761
because im lazy and if i can avoid trim and inside outside debur on even one case it makes it easier

      .002 for bolt and .003-.005 for AR's. You're fine

        That's what I was thinking.

I think that if I took it any further, I could be setting my self up for problems with rounds chambering. Fouling, dirt, and Murphy have a way of screwing things up!

I've not ever been able to resize after the first firing and not need a trim. Not a single case.
