Were you tumbling the 6.5 cases with any other caliber? Specifically one with a larger bore diameter than the 6.5? It looks like a 9mm case lodged itself on the neck of the 6.5 brass and went for a little tumble together. -
I only tumble in cob, and use Brasso w/ some solvent like mineral spirits, or denatured alcohol and have never seen this happen. Could it be a reaction with something in the hulls and the brass, or do you think it is the polish?
If it were once-fired, I think you could weed out the issue easier, but dang that is weird.
Have you noticed any sealant on the crimp/throat, when it was factory ammo, like this?:

Did you always, only tumble with hulls and polish?
Were they looking normal before the tumble (aka any carbon at the neck)?Comment
