Question on powder for .45ACP, .38SPL, 9mm

I am overwhelming with difference powder brands and types on the market. I need help to pick ONE kind of powder for : .45ACP, .38SPL and 9mm pistols. These ammo to be used for plinking on the range not for HD nor hunting, so low price and precision are the main points here (I know low price don't go together with precise but for punching paper indoor, precision up to 15 yards is more than better). Something like: one "type" fit all pistol ammos.

I prefer Hodgdon brand, because easy to find in the local store and their loading data website give enough loading information. http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/pistol.

(If you Aces recommend more than one brands/types then two is the max - "buy both/all-of-them" won't work here )

Run a ladder test and see what the gun likes and wants. It has been my experience that it does not matter what powder I want to use the gun may have other ideas.

If you're gonna stick with Hodgdon, go with HP38. It'll work pretty well in all your calibers.

Also recommending HP38. It's a fairly ground level powder that can do a lot (of pistol) and isn't very expensive.

For a one-size-fits-all powder, I'd go with Hodgdon Titegroup. I've used it all 3 calibers. Works great, shoots accurately, meters well and not position sensitive. I still use it in the .38 for bullseye competition.

By the way, HP-38 and Win 231 are the exact same identical powder. Only difference is the label.

HP38 or Win231 which are the same powder so whatever one you can get or is cheaper.
Another choice but not Hodgdon brand would be Unique

I use Titegroup and CFE Pistol for .38spl, moderate .357, .380, 9mm, .40, moderate .44, .45 acp and Colt, and moderate .454 Casull. I have no complaints.
