    Press Rental?

    Is there such a thing?

I have been curious about reloading for years.

Are there places that rent presses? Are there people who might let me borrow?
I have a pretty good understanding of what is necessary but I would like to "try before I buy".

    Is there such a thing?

It might be doable if you did not hide your location. (LOL) You will need scale, measure and dies as well as press. What calibers?

I don't think it is intentionally hidden.
Edit: ha yes it was. Mostly curious if such a thing exists.

      I am in Redlands, Ca.

I don't know about rental but maybe check out Reload OC. Bryan is super helpful, and has a variety of presses set up in the shop so you can actually see and try how the machines work. He can walk you through everything in person.

You can buy a used press on eBay for less than $30 and if reloading becomes a more serious hobby you can then upgrade.
Look for a reloading club near you which might be listed above in the stickie section.

See if you can find a reloader near you to show you the ropes and get you started

It was just alst week that I showed a fellow shooter how to reload on my Hornady LNL AP and my Lee Classic Cast. I think it was the 4th or 5th person I've walked through the process.

They get to try out my setup and if they are still on the edge, they can come over and load on my gear if they bring their own supplies.

I have even let new reloaders set up their new press on my extra Inline Fabrications Ultramount...using the Quick Change Plate...until they can get set up at their home.

Do it just like a "long term gun rental". Buy it, use it, then sell it. You've just "rented" the equipment with an unlimited rental period. If you bought a used Rock Chucker press for $180 and used it for a year, then sold it for $120. You just rented it for $5/month. Not a bad deal.

Just buy an inexpensive lee single press and few dies..all for less than 200. If u dont like it, sell it. As for reloading instructions, youtube has a wealth of information.
