    Dillion XL650 Question

I'm looking at upgrading from an old Lyman turret press to a Dillion XL650 and want to know if I can use my RCBS and Lee dies in it? Or is the XL650 Dillon-specific?

Yes they will work. With RCBS pistol dies you won't have to use the belling die & you might want to get a seperate crimp die instead of using the seat/crimp die.

the 650 can use standard 7/8" die sets, but may work better with the Dillon versions in some cases where the chamfered die mouths help guide the brass in.

I have Hornady dies in one of my toolheads as we speak.

Most of the standard dies are 7/8 x 14..as are Dillon
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

I am currently using an RCBS carbide 40 S&W on my 650 and it just works fine.

Thank you everyone for answering the thread. I have dies in 380, 38/357, 9mm, 45 ACP, .308, 30-06 and 35 Whelen and a couple of other calibers and didn't want to reinvest in new dies.
