9mm bullet setback during storage (stacked boxes)

I don't have a lot of experience with pistol ammunition, just getting into pistol. The Blazer Brass 9mm ammunition that I have doesn't seem to be crimped. I am storing a decent quantity of Blazer Brass 9mm ammo and am a little concerned that if I stack the boxes too high, the weight might be enough to cause bullet setback. I'm stacking about 16 boxes high to fit it into my gun safe.

Is this unfounded paranoia? Anybody have any experience with this?

9mm is taper crimped, not roll crimped, so the crimping is not apparent at a casual glance. If it were me, and I were worried about it, I'd compare the cartridge overall length of the stuff on the bottom of the stack with that on top, just to be sure...

as long as you are not throwing boxes on the stack I would say you would be fine,
now maybe a stack of 1k might be differnt

I just restacked the boxes on their sides. That should solve my problem.

That ammo or most ammo probably road on a very bumpy truck stacked at least 2-3 feet high on a pallet at some point. no first hand knowlege but, I think they would ship full pallets to there distributers. I haven't noticed any setback[ not that I've looked for it though]. I don't think reasonable stacking would hurt it. now droping a box, maybe

true... but blazer is packed vertically in its cardboard cases
