Non lead

My Dad gave me roll of non lead Silveabrite 100 95.5 tin 4 copper0.5 silver to try casting a .32 cal for my flintlock.I was using a Lee mold and almost ruined it,the aluminum is too soft when trying to cut the spruce hole. you would have to cast it without the cutter then open the mold and trim.I have a steel .440 mold without a cutter so tried that it worked I have a hard 85 grain ball vs 130 grain lead ball.With a cloth patch it would work but man super light ball.

You've got a ball that's already aerodynamically ****, and then because you can't cast it out of lead it loses mass. Bummer.

Given that k=1/2mv^2 you might as well work on getting that velocity up as best you (safely) can.

Rotometals has a Bizmoth (SP?) mix that is nontox that will cast and perform similar to lead. I have no idea if it is leagal to use in Calif. but it is a nontox mix with no lead in it.

save that to harden lead for pistol you need pure lead NO or very little tin like <.5%.

Cheaper to use Rotometals tin or go yard sale shopping for some pewter to use.
