I use an empty cut up Japanese peanut container to catch my casings when I deprime. Anyone else have some tools that were DIY or not their original intended use?

I made a tumbler with an old drill press motor and 6” pvc pipe. Don’t remember the pulley ratio I went with but it works really well. I took a miter saw stand and bolted a boat winch to it to make a draw board (archery related).
Then used a trailer jack to make a bow press. The adjustable fingers I made from 3/4" thick angle and square tube, all aluminum.
Added a vise on the end made from 1" aluminum round bar.
