Scored on a New Reloading Table

Picked this up yesterday evening. There was an open house in my neighborhood on Sunday. Always wanted to check out the garage. Has 2 of them. Original 2 car and a custom 6 car garage.

While walking through, spotted the table and made an offer. Got it for $100. Looks like it was a manufacturing table. Has an overhead light bar and a long power strip along the back. Love the statement on the plaque. Perfect.

The sad part is the old man that lived in home passed away. Adult kids selling the house. I told the agent to let them know that I will take good care of the table and put it to use. Hopefully they'll get some solace from that.

Yup. Thats exactly what I plan to do.

The current table top is not attached. It's a bit short width wise. I'm gonna grab some plywood today to use as a base top and also a shelf below. Then attached this table top to the plywood.

Should add some weight and stability to the whole thing. It's already got some weight to it.

Give your self some overhang around the front and sides of the new top, for clamping things and press handle swing clearance.

If your situation permits, bolt to the wall.

I would mount sum plywood to the back also. Will make it even more stable and also not let stuff fall out of the back. Nice find by the way
            Keep Smiling!!!!

That bench is haunted. You can see the former owner hovering over the table on the left side of the picture.

use top grade plywood. at least one inch thick. (or two 3/4 in thick). bolt this to the frame work. then bolt to a wall. will be very sturdy and not move around.
i do not see a power plug, just a light cord hanging and a switch. but set it up so you can plug in at least four devices. all controlled by that switch.

It actually does have a power strip that runs all along the back. Has about 6 recepticals. Pretty handy.

I ended up using to layers of 3/4 finish plywood for the top. Bolted the first layer down to the frame. Then I glued the second layer down to the first. Have the top unfinished right now. Debating on if I want to protect it with something and what to use.

Need to organize everything a bit. Just kind of through everything up quick as I needed to load some rounds for my match this past Sunday. I also still need to bolt it the wall. It's pretty sturdy but bolting it down will make it rock solid.

Really happy with it so far.
