    Bullet Pullers

I have had great service from my Berry's Hammer but am wondering about the Grip and Pull.
Do these damage, scratch or otherwise deform the projectile at all?

I loaded up a boat load of Berger 230's for my 300 RUM and since then my brass prep, and powder measuring equipment has improved, so I am trying to find a quicker option.
    Thank you!

I had to pull a ahheemm, bunch of bullets a few years back and used one of these Hornady Cam Lock bullet puller. It mounts in a press and uses a collet and once you get the proper tension set it is really fast. They make collets for all bullet diameters.

Been using RCBS collet bullet puller die. Works great. Have a Berry's Hammer puller that I've used for pistol rounds, just be sure to hit on a piece of wood.

One more for the Hornady cam lock. Fast and easy.

I sold the cam lock. Compare the collets to the rcbs ones. The hornady is thin and brittle. The rcbs ones are thick and beefy.

I have been happy with my RCBS collet style puller and still use the hammer if I only need to pull 1 or 2 rounds or it is lead bullets.

Yes you can leave marks or worse on the bullet. It is determined by just how much you muscle the collet. I try to just tighten it enough to pull the bullet. The pulled bullets shoot just as accurate as new ones. I do not crimp rifle rounds.

I have that. It is surprisingly easy to use and can barely be seen to have been used on a pulled projectile.

I've only pulled a few bullets using the Grip and Pull. Seems to work great. No marks on the bullet. No inserts to change. Don't have to screw any die in.

                    I think it's a great tool.

I used the RCBS collet to pull a bunch of the surplus 303 brit in the photo. They were crimped, glued and stuck together for 55 years, but with some muscle the RCBS did the job well. Very happy with the RCBS.

How many bad reloads are you all making that a kinetic puller (hammer) isn't good/quick enough?

I just put anything horked/bad in a pile, and pull them later...

the86d, I got my loading equipment and went to town loading a bunch of 300RUM 230 bullets and 6.5 143 ELDx GAP4s for my other rifle. Since then my game got better and better, brass prep is better, scales more accurate, neck turning blah blah blah and now annealing so I think how much I have learned and progressed since the earlier loads and I don't even want to send them down the barrel.

Thanks Alpha....now I want to see your Alpha!
